Civil Engineer
A civil engineer with LEE Chamberlin helps design roadways, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and water lines for private developments and public works projects. As a full-time employee, they assist in the preparation of drawings, documents, details, schedules, or specifications using programs such as MicroStation, Power Civil, Hydrology Studio, and Stormwater Studio. Additionally, they will operate as a project manager in the office, assisting to coordinate the efforts of our employees and make sure projects are completed correctly and efficiently. They’ll prepare construction documents and records and observe and inspect work performed by contractors ensuring compliance of specs, drawing, code, and safety. Further, they will communicate and collaborate with contractors, clients, and other LEE Chamberlin team members in a positive and professional manner, along with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in an accredited civil engineering program, 10+ years of experience, a professional engineer license in the State of Iowa required, among other qualities. Contact LEE Chamberlin for more information.
Civil Engineering Technician
Qualifications include an associate’s degree (or working toward one) in an accredited civil engineering technology program, 5-10 years of experience, 5 years of experience in the programs mentioned above, along with other skills. Contact our team for more information about the position.
Professional Land Surveyor
Qualifications needed for this position include a professional licensed surveyor status, a minimum of five years of experience land surveying in Iowa, and the understanding of coordinating systems and vertical datums.
Survey Crew Chief
Qualifications for survey crew chiefs include proficiency with Trimble GPS, Trimble Robotic Total Stations (S7), Trimble (TSC3 & 7) and TDS Ranger Data Collectors, 5-10 years of survey crew chief experience including ALTA and Sectional Boundary surveys, a valid driver’s license, among other qualifications and skills.
